Dubrovnik Arrival

Dubrovnik is a city in the south of Croatia, on the Adriatic Sea. The best way to get there is by airplane landing in the International Airport of Dubrovnik. There are airplanes taking off and landing on a daily basis from european destinations.

Another way of getting to Dubrovnik is by ferry from the Italian coast, or by yacht if you´re travelling the coast on holiday. Dubrovnik has been throughout the centuries and is still, one of the most beautiful ports in the Adriatic.


Flying to Dubrovnik:

Dubrovnik has its own airport that is located about 20km to the south of the town. Various air companies fly to Dubrovnik Airport, most of them in period between April and October.


Dubrovnik by Bus:

The Dubrovnik's main bus station, with comfortable waiting room, ticket office, and tourist information, is located at the Western entrance to the town, in port of Gruz, which is about 15-20 minutes ride by local bus to Pile, the main gate of Dubrovnik Old City.

Local buses to and from main bus station operate every 10-15minutes. Dubrovnik is connected by bus with various domestic and international places, as well as services heading to Dubrovnik Airport. Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, is on about 12 hours ride by bus from Dubrovnik,

Dubrovnik by Car:

As Dubrovnik is located at the very South of the Croatia, most of people drive to Dubrovnik from Split. Jadranska Magistrala, the dual carriageway road that connects Dubrovnik with the rest of the country, can be pretty buzy in the summer months.

Dubrovnik by Ferry:

Jadrolinija ferry company runs ferries to Dubrovnik along Croatian coast from Rijeka, stopping along the way at Split, Hvar (Stari Grad), Korčula and Mljet (Sobra). Journey time is up to twenty hours. A typical ferry timetable is departure from Rijeka at 6pm and arrving in Dubrovnik following day at 4 pm. This journey along Adriatic Sea is scenic and offers views of natural beauty of the Croatian coast. Jadrolinija also serves ferry crossings to and from Bari, Italy to Dubrovnik , which is handy for travellers visiting Italy.
